Yes. The Basic plan is completely free — no credit card required, no hidden fees. You can track up to 3 documents with push notifications and access the AI Advisor for up to 10 messages per day. Paid plans (Protect and Secure) unlock more documents, email notifications, file attachments, secondary email escalation, and higher AI message limits.
Any document with an expiration date — passports, visas, residence permits, work permits, driving licenses, health insurance cards, rental agreements, vehicle inspections, product warranties, gym memberships, professional certifications, and more. If it has a deadline that matters to you, KeepValid can track it.
No. The only things required are a document name and an expiration date. File uploads are entirely optional and available on paid plans. KeepValid's core value is in the tracking and escalating reminders — not in storing copies of your documents.
KeepValid sends escalating reminders that increase in frequency as your expiration deadline approaches. It tracks whether you respond to each notification. If you consistently miss reminders across all channels, the system automatically escalates — increasing notification frequency and, on paid plans, alerting a verified secondary contact such as a spouse or family member.
Yes. One KeepValid account covers every member of your household — children and adults. All documents are visible from a single dashboard, making it easy to manage passports, residence permits, health insurance cards, and more for your entire family in one place.
KeepValid has a secondary email safety net. If the system detects you are not responding to reminders across all channels, it sends an alert to a verified secondary contact — a spouse, parent, or trusted friend — asking them to reach out and make sure you are aware of the approaching deadline. This feature is available on Protect and Secure plans and requires the secondary address to be verified in your settings in advance.
Yes. KeepValid is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works in any browser on any device — desktop, Android, or iPhone. You can install it directly to your home screen without going through an app store. On iOS, push notifications require the app to be installed via Safari. Native Android and iOS apps are currently in development.
All uploaded files are encrypted at rest and accessible only via token-authenticated URLs tied to your account. When you need to share a document, the generated link expires after exactly one hour — even if the email is still in the recipient's inbox. The AI Advisor never accesses your uploaded files; it only references basic metadata. KeepValid stores only what you share and deletes everything on request.
Every document in KeepValid has a built-in AI advisor that knows your document's type, country of issue, expiration date, and any notes you have added. Ask it anything — renewal steps, required paperwork, embassy contacts, or processing timelines. It gives answers specific to your situation, not generic responses. Available on all plans: 10 messages per day on Basic, 30 on Protect, and 100 on Secure.
Each document has its own individually configurable notification window — you choose how many days before expiry reminders should begin. A passport might be set to 180 days; a gym membership to 7 days. There is no global setting — every document is configured independently, because different documents require different lead times for renewal.
